West Gate Bank – Festival of Free
On May 31, West Gate Bank (westgate.bank) locations in Lincoln and Omaha will host their annual Festival of Free. For nearly 10 years, West Gate Bank has held this event to celebrate their customers and welcome new customers with extended hours, free food throughout the day, games, and prizes. This year, each branch will hold a drawing to give away a GoPro HERO7 White*.
All locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Every new checking account opened that day will receive QFX® folding Bluetooth® stereo headphones as a free gift, up to $10 to buy back a debit card and/or unused checks from your current bank, and a one-day only special for a free personalized debit card ($10 value).
“Festival of Free is something our branches look forward to hosting every year,” said Kristi Thornton, senior vice president, Omaha retail market manager. “It gives us an opportunity to thank our existing customers for their business and to invite new customers to experience the ease and convenience of our free checking account products. For the first time in the bank’s history, the event will be hosted at all locations in Lincoln and in Omaha on the same day. The theme for this year’s Festival of Free is “Vacation!” Each branch will develop their activities for the day based on that theme. For example, the location at 97th & Q in Omaha will display a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle from Defiance Harley-Davidson with a random drawing to giveaway a Harley-Davidson prize package.
“There’s a friendly competition between our locations for not only opening new accounts, but the fun and unique activities they can offer guests. We’ve had some really unexpected games and contests over the years, so it’s exciting each year to see what they come up with,” said Thornton.
