Fellowship of Christian Athletes Weekend of Champions Makes Big Impact

On November 3 – 4, 600 students, 150 college Huddle Leaders, and over 100 coaches came to Grand Island for the annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) (nebraskafca.org) Weekend of Champions. This event truly has become a flagship event for FCA where many people have come to Christ over the years. After the event, a coach reported:

“One of my Omaha Central girls prayed to accept Christ on the van ride home today; we had the whole van praying with her. I was so proud of her boldness. Of the four students that came from Central, two of them made that decision. Thanks again to FCA and the staff for working hard to cultivate that special environment for the Lord to work!”

Year end is a critical time for FCA. Nearly 25% of their annual budget comes during the months of November and December. A major focus across the state has been to grow the base of AMP donors. AMP (Automatic Monthly Partners) donors who allow the FCA staff to be stable and sustainable.
