Governor Proclaims November 12-16 Kids’ Chance Awareness Week in Nebraska

On October 15, Governor Pete Ricketts signed a proclamation, declaring November 12-16 Kids’ Chance (www.kidschanceofne.org) Awareness Week in Nebraska.

Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is designed to increase visibility through special outreach events in each state that will spread the word about scholarship opportunities. In 2017, scholarship applications increased significantly due to the awareness this week raised, but there are more students in need of assistance.

Kids’ Chance of Nebraska relies on the support of corporate partners, industry colleagues, friends, and family to further their mission. Contributions make a difference in the life of a child whose educational opportunities have been dramatically limited.

Help spread awareness about Kids’ Chance of Nebraska via word of mouth and on your social media using Kids’ Chance photos, which can be found on their website, along with the hashtag “#KidsChance.”

Kids’ Chance of Nebraska is proud to provide post-secondary and trade school scholarships to the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely or fatally injured in an employment related accident. The children of these workers often lose opportunities for secondary education. Kids’ Chance of Nebraska is a non-profit organization raising funds for educational opportunities for these children.
