Tennis legend Billie Jean King will be the featured speaker at Girls Inc. of Omaha‘s 15th annual Lunch for the Girls. The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, September 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CenturyLink Center Omaha, 455 North 10th Street. Ms. King will address the audience and then interact with selected Girls Inc. members about their Girls Inc. experiences.

Named one of the “100 Most Important Americans of the 20th Century” by Life magazine and a 2009 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Billie Jean King is the co-founder of World Team Tennis, and founded the Women’s Sports Foundation and the Women’s Tennis Association.

Reservations for Lunch for the Girls are now available. Regular seating is available at $100 per person ($65 of which is tax-deductible). Patron seating is available for $200 per person ($165 of which is tax-deductible). All proceeds from Lunch for the Girls support the educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for girls ages 5 to 18 at Girls Incorporated of Omaha, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be “Strong, Smart, and Bold.”
