I can’t even say how many times I have written drafts of this letter—and then only to press CTRL+A and hit the delete button, and all because I lost a game of chance. We flipped a coin to see who would write this month’s letter. I obviously lost. Or did I win?

Life is a chance, and we get to choose what we do—we are constantly flipping the coin in our lives.

As the year comes to an end, I, like most people, like to take a moment and reflect on the happenings of the year. A lot of things/events come to mind– with no regrets I’m thankful for everything I have gone through this year, everything that I have received and everyone I have met. Even the most insignificant thing is a gift that we receive from life that some people will never know. That’s why I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I came into contact with this year—one way or another you have influenced the person I am now. I’m ever so grateful for the family that I have and couldn’t have asked for a better one! I’m very blessed to have a job, to work with people who are so caring and talented. Also, I’m happy that I have such good friends that don’t mind if I’m always talking about New Orleans!

And most importantly I appreciate everyone I have met and have had the opportunity to get to know through the magazine. Your feedback (both positive and negative) and your support has helped me grow professionally and I thank you for the relationships we continue to build this year and years to come!

Happy Holidays & Happy New Year!
