Although it may be a bit late for a holiday party, the staff of Strictly Business always likes to celebrate our holidays later in the year to avoid all the hubbub and other events that take place during the holiday months.  This year, we decided our holiday party should be a fun family affair and what better place to have that than Sempeck’s Bowling and Entertainment in Elkhorn?  As the name indicates, Sempeck’s is much more than just a bowling alley (although with 40 lanes, they are the Midwest’s largest bowling center).  Along with the bowling options, they also have a 26,000 square foot indoor go kart track, a 2-story laser tag area and a huge video game arcade with skee-ball, crane games, prize games and more!  If you’re not in the mood to play, you can also relax in the 200 seat sports bar and restaurant, which serves drinks and great food like cheeseburgers, hot wings, broasted chicken, pizza and ribs.  This truly is a place of fun for all ages—no matter what you’re interested in doing!
We had a wide age range of people who attended our party, from Angela Woltman’s four-year-old daughter Delaney to Paige’s teenage son to our adult staff.  When we all arrived, we got set up on three lanes of bowling and put in an order for some munchies at the conveniently located bar (just steps away from the bowling lanes).  There are two sides of bowling lanes and the ones we were bowling on each had its own big screen television located over the lane so you could watch your favorite show or sporting event.  We had a great time visiting, bowling and snacking on wings, fried cauliflower, nachos and chicken strips.  After a few games of bowling, we decided to explore the other options that Sempeck’s had to offer.  Since everyone wanted to do something different, we decided to split up.  The older kids were off to the laser tag arena while the girls relaxed in the sports bar and Angela and her daughter explored the arcade and played some air hockey, skee-ball and video games.  After that, it was off to the go-kart track, which is a large separate room with go-karts for those 7 and older and dual carts for younger kids who can ride with a parent or guardian.  The go-karts are great because how fast they go is controlled by the attendant, so you don’t have to worry about your young child getting out on the track with older kids who will go too fast and scare him or her.  The attendant is also able to cut power on the karts in case there is an accident or something blocking the track, ensuring the safety of all.

If a birthday party is what you’re looking to celebrate, Sempeck’s is the perfect venue for it!  They have plenty of tables where you can put gifts and they also have a number of different party packages to choose from.  Choices range from the ‘High Five’ package ($7 game cards for 10 guests, $10 game card for birthday child, two pitchers of soda and birthday party table in arcade area for $99.95) to the Super Deluxe Birthday Bash (hour of bowling on two lanes, free laser tag game or go-kart rides for all bowlers, free game of bowling pass for all bowlers, large one topping pizza, unlimited soft drinks, goody bags for all, a personalized birthday cake, ice cream cones, birthday picture on web site, $5 fun card for all guests, $10 fun card for birthday child, use of private party room and personal party host for $199.95).

Sempeck’s is truly a fun venue for people of all ages.  We loved having our holiday party there and will definitely be bringing our families back.  If you haven’t visited this awesome facility, make plans to do so soon!  Tell them Strictly Business sent you!
