Pheasant Bar & Grill – Get Down to the Pub for a Drink, Some Grub, and a Good Time!

When our team visits a restaurant in town, we look for three main things: great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. After dining at Pheasant Bar & Grill for the first time, we were very pleased to find that they have mastered all of these areas! We walked into the Millard establishment to find ample seating options at both the bar and at booths and tables around the room. Our team was also impressed with how clean the restaurant is kept. Dive bars can sometimes get a bad rap for being “sloppy”, but Pheasant Bar & Grill was anything but! We instantly felt relaxed by the hometown sports bar vibe, and our server was quick to welcome us with a smile and drink orders.

Since we were all so hungry (what’s new?) after the long workday, we decided to start off with appetizers before we ordered our entrees. Per our server’s recommendation, we ordered the breaded cauliflower—we now know why she said it was a fan favorite! Very flavorful. We also enjoyed the mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, and some good ol’ waffle fries. All of these came out hot, fresh, and with yummy dips.

In between ordering, enjoying our apps and drinks, and waiting for our entrees to come out, we hung out around the pool tables while a few of us played. All the activities that Pheasant Bar & Grill has really makes it a fun, interactive environment. They have an AMI digital jukebox for queuing up jams, pool and darts for a little friendly competition, and over 10 large, flat-screen TVs for optimal sports viewing. Plus, Pheasant Bar & Grill is known for being a hot spot for KENO and karaoke!

Our group ordered a variety of items from the wide selection of pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, baskets, wings, salads, and soups on the menu. The lead-off homerun of the evening was the Buffalo Chicken Pizza—first to arrive, last to leave our hearts. Every single one of us got wide-eyed when we tried a slice, even the ones of us who usually don’t opt for pizza when dining out. It wasn’t too spicy but still had a bold taste; it was the perfect balance of meaty/cheesy goodness, and the sauce was hand-crafted by the chef based on a recipe he got from Italy. He told us he has plans to add meatballs to the menu that feature this delicious sauce as a key ingredient.

The pinch hitter in the lineup was the Beef Gyro. We were skeptical…how good could a gyro really be at an American sports bar and grill? Well, it was pretty dang good. Our group was very impressed! The pita bread was nicely toasted and the meat was fresh and juicy. With the just the right ratio of tzatziki sauce, we couldn’t complain! In fact, all we could do was eat more.

Along with the Battered Cod Fish basket, garlic butter parmesan and medium spicy wings, a classic burger, and a chicken sandwich, our dining experience at Pheasant Bar & Grill was a grand slam!

Something we noted about Pheasant Bar & Grill is all the specials and fun events they offer every day of the week. From Monday’s all-day happy hour and discounts on cheese burgers and sandwiches, to taco Tuesdays with $3 margaritas, chicken quesadillas, potato Ole’s, and chicken buffalo wraps—oh, and don’t forget the “Thank God It’s Wednesday” specials featuring $6 12” pizzas and Philly steaks. They also just announced Thursdays as Ladies Night, meaning drinks are all $4 for women! Every week day, Pheasant Bar & Grill has happy hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and patrons can expect the house to be bumping on Wednesday, Fridays, and Saturdays for karaoke nights. Lunch starts at 11 a.m., Monday through Sunday.

We encourage all our readers to check out Pheasant Bar & Grill for some yummy grub and a good time!
