What’s better than having an office pet? The staff at Sergeant’s Pet Care Products would say that it’s having everyone’s pets visit the office for a day! Every Friday employees take turns bringing their four-legged friends to work for a full day of business and, of course, lots of fun too. Pets work right alongside employees during their normal schedule, whether that entails hanging out at a desk or attending meetings, and also enjoy more relaxed moments during lunch together or breaks for walking and playtime with the other pets. Sergeant’s also shares highlights from #PetFridays on Facebook, which is a popular way for over 530,000 fans to check out all of the action!

Pet Fridays are a great opportunity for socialization between pets as well as co-workers, and it has certainly promoted a greater sense of community while also being very therapeutic. Everyone’s pets are welcome, and there are a few particularly popular guests at Sergeant’s on Fridays. You can’t mistake Peanut the Pug thanks to her signature look with her tongue sticking out, but also because of her charming personality. She gets so excited to see everyone that she has to take nap breaks, during which time she snorts when she sleeps, which is equally adorable. Murray is a beagle who has a friendly, big personality and prefers to sit in an office chair during his visits. Sprite, a gorgeous golden retriever and a service dog, is an absolute sweetheart and so well trained that you forget she is around sometimes. Thomas is an extra friendly cat who does really well during his visits because he is quite social and fun to be around — he seems to enjoy travelling to the office just as much as the dogs! Just as co-workers develop relationships with one another, there are also pets that have bonded and become fast friends. Rocky and Lucy, a Labrador retriever mix and a German Shepherd mix respectfully, are the perfect example. Rocky was very shy at first, but since he has been coming in frequently and has found new friends like his buddy Lucy, he is much more friendly and outgoing.
