Photo_Patton_Equipment_Company_Peanut_Omaha_NebraskaThe Patton family adopted Peanut in 2005 and helped nurse her back to health after she was abused by a prior owner. ‘Peanut’ was the only word of English she responded to, so the family decided to keep her name. Terry Patton’s youngest son, James, was seven years of age at the time and had never had a dog for a pet. James was a little nervous about dogs (they previously had cats) and Terry thought it would be good therapy for him to have a friendly dog for his first canine pet. The rest of the family had a long history of welcoming dogs into the family so Peanut fit in immediately.

Sadly, Ron recently passed away, but he would have been pleased to see that Peanut continues to come into the office every day (except when Terry’s son is home for school vacations). She has become a favorite of everyone who comes into Patton Equipment, including delivery people and all the employees. She has truly become a cherished part of the organization and the Patton family.
