Stepping into North Italia (NorthItalia.com/Locations/North-Italia-Omaha-NE) at Village Pointe feels like discovering a new favorite spot before the first dish arrives. The open kitchen, warm lighting, and scent of fresh bread set the tone for an experience rooted in intention. Since opening in Omaha, North Italia has brought modern Italian energy to the city’s dining scene, welcoming everything from casual lunches to celebratory dinners.

Members of the Strictly Business team (Paige and Shayne Zutavern and Macey Wahl) visited for Sunday lunch with the curiosity reserved for a restaurant worth exploring. The meal began with White Truffle Garlic Bread paired with house-made ricotta — crisp, soft, and rich enough to pause conversation. Salads followed, including the Seasonal Vegetable Salad, which won over even the vegetable skeptics, and a classic Caesar done just right.

Entrées offered a tour of the menu’s range. Trottole Chicken Pesto arrived vibrant and herbaceous. Sunday Night Lasagna delivered slow-cooked comfort. Squid Ink Tonnarelli brought unexpected briny depth, while Braised Short Rib Marsala was tender and rich. A Prosciutto pizza with fig jam, goat cheese, and arugula balanced sweet and savory flavors.

The bar program impressed as well. The Alta Rossa cocktail arrived topped with silky foam stamped with North Italia’s logo. A Sicilian Margarita offered bright citrus notes, and a Sparkling Rosé Sangria with fresh berries and cucumber added a refreshing finish.
The meal ended with Banana Coffee Cake — warm, tender, and perfectly sweet. North Italia isn’t just another Italian restaurant. It’s an experience built around fresh ingredients, welcoming design, and meals meant to be shared.
