Complete Comfort Heating and Cooling is a full-service heating and cooling contractor that specializes in the installation and service of geothermal heat pumps, along with installation and service of traditional heating and cooling systems.  Troy Spady is the Business Development Director at Complete Comfort Heating and Cooling.

How did you get started in the business? – I grew up in a family of carpenters, working for my Dad in high school and college. Always wanting to scratch my entrepreneurial itch and get back to helping people with their homes, I started my own handyman business 4 ½ years before joining Complete Comfort this past November. I‘ve been a Complete Comfort advocate since Jeff launched his business 14 years ago and am proud to work alongside him now to help grow his business.

Tell me a little about your family. – With four active boys (ages 10, 8, 6, and 3), our house is a constant whirlwind of activity. My wife Lynn is a Teacher Leader for Westside Community Schools.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Leaving Imperial, NE and going to college in McCook and then Kearney, and ultimately moving to Omaha.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I’m not sure I remember the definition of a day off anymore! There are few days that there isn’t a ball game to go to for the boys or work to do on or around the house.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I had a stint as a Vanilla Ice impersonator circa 1991 in Imperial, NE…and there is YouTube proof to back it up if you are savvy enough to find it!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – My uncle once told me “If you mess with the bull, you’ll get the horns.” Happy to say I’ve imparted that wisdom several times over on my four boys as well.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “The Only Way I Know” by Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Eric Church

Which talent would you most like to have? – The ability to play the guitar. I love music and played the drums throughout school. It’s kind of hard to get out the drum set and play by a campfire though.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – A professional musician. More specifically, a country music performer.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I don’t get the chance to read many books anymore, but the last good book I read was The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn. Very thought provoking and an interesting read.

What is your favorite movie? – Pretty much anything that doesn’t involve characters named Dora or Diego.

What is your favorite TV show? – I haven’t been able to watch for a season or two but love catching up on Dexter when I have the chance.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Either Petrow’s or Stokes.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Not sure how famous he is, but would love to have dinner one more time with my late Grandpa Harold Spady more than any famous person in the world past or present.
