River City Six – Tracy Daley

Meet Tracy Daley, administrative assistant at Real Property Management (RPM) Legacy.

Tell us a little about your business.

Real Property Management Legacy is a full-service brokerage in the Omaha area. Our goal is to protect your investments and make you the most money. Our owner, Jean Duffy, is committed to using the most accurate data available to determine the best monthly rent rate for our clients’ properties. We also conduct move-in assessments and regular inspections, complete with photos, to make sure your property stays in good shape.

How did you get started in the business?

I previously worked in the legal field, specifically dealing with real estate matters.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Balancing work responsibilities while dealing with mental health challenges.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

There have been several eviction/restitution matters in Iowa that we have handled and resolved ourselves without having to hire an attorney. I personally handled the filing of all of the court documents, making sure all of the evidence was together for the hearing, and I helped present case along with Jean to the presiding judge.

Tell us a little about your family.

My parents live in Papillion, my twin sister lives here in Omaha, and my brother lives in the U.K.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

Managing to overcome the worst life challenges and making it to the other side without giving up.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Go for long walks.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

I like to participate a few times a year in 10K races (e.g. Heartland Marathon, etc.). I have also done the Trek Up The Tower Vertical Stair race going up 40 flights of stairs a few times.

Who inspires you?

I inspire myself to get through the challenges I experience, both professionally and personally.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Resilient.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

Court reporting. I went to school for it but did not complete my degree.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Omaha Affiliate (@NAMIomaha) and National Stuttering Association (NSA) Nebraska Chapter (@NSANebraska). I have a slight stuttering impairment and want to continue bringing awareness about this condition.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?

Moral Compass by Danielle Steel.

What is your favorite TV show?

Grey’s Anatomy.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

Cheesecake Factory.
