Land Survey Inc. provides land surveying services in many dimensions. This includes Boundary surveys (which locate property corners), ILR’s for title companies (Improvement Location Reports, or sometimes referred to as plot plans), and topographies which include elevations. Toni Montana is the owner of Land Survey Inc.
How did you get started in the business? – I started out helping a friend who was a Licensed Surveyor. I learned the ropes out in the field and in the office, and it just grew from there.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – The learning curve of actual surveying is big. So that would be it.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Performing actual surveys without help. This was a HUGE accomplishment, although I’m never really finished with the learning process.
Tell me a little about your family. – I have a daughter and a grandson, and with my mom involved with each of our lives, it makes our family complete. Small, but grand.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Having my daughter. I then sought a degree and was accepted to Creighton Law School.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Shoot pool, go bike riding, boating…generally almost anything outside.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I’m an avid animal lover and a vegetarian.
What are you the most proud of? – My mother. She has been the backbone for our entire family. She is the “Wind Beneath My Wings.”
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Mean what you say. Don’t make excuses for the answers you give. Be honest.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Kind
If you could have a super power, what would it be? – To fly like a bird.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Artistry. I seem to have a knack for it, but don’t use it professionally.
Which talent would you most like to have? – To sing (well!).
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Having a combined daycare/adult care facility.
