How did you get started in the business? – My father, Tim (Timothy P.) McGill, started the company and I began working for him my junior year of high school.  I worked in the field throughout high school and while I was in college at UNO, where I obtained an Engineering degree.  I then moved from the field to the office and began my career in 2001.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Learning to delegate responsibilities properly.  We have a very capable workforce and extremely talented leadership.  Letting our key executives take on more responsibility has been rewarding for our company and for each of them individually.

Tell us a little about your family. – My wife Jodie is an attorney and she owns McGill Law PC, LLO.  She is also corporate counsel at McGill Restoration.  We have three kids:  Collin (7), Elana (5), and Jude (4 mos.).

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Having kids was the biggest turning point.  Our priorities as a couple in all areas of our life changed once we became parents.  Our kids keep us very busy and we are very proud of them.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Hang out with family and friends.  We spend a lot of time at the pool and at various youth sporting events.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I have flown against several of my good friends in air to air combat.  This was done with real acrobatic fighter planes and we were traveling at nearly 5 G’s.

What are you the most proud of? – I am most proud of the good reputation we have built for McGill Restoration.  We are known as a quality specialty contractor and as a great place to work.
