Tell us a little about your business. – Our magazine connects the Lincoln and Omaha business communities, keeping everyone informed and inspired. For me, it’s all about building relationships, supporting local growth, and shining a spotlight on the people and companies that make our communities thrive.
How did you get started in the business? – I got started with Strictly Business (Strictly-Business.com) after earning my degree in graphic design and spending years honing my skills in the industry. My experience taught me not just the creative side of design, but also how to communicate a message effectively and help businesses tell their stories.
Tell us a little about your family. – I come from a loving and supportive family that has shaped me into the person I am today. I was born in Germany during the Yugoslavian war and grew up between Europe and the U.S., spending my summers in Europe and attending school year-round in America. My parents and grandparents have been incredible role models, guiding me with their love, humor, and wisdom.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – It feels like every ten years something major happens that shapes the next chapter. From moving between countries as a child, to discovering my passion for art, to building my career in graphic design and media, each stage has taught me something new about myself and the world around me.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – On a day off, I love to spend time with my loved ones, whether it’s relaxing at home, gaming, or just enjoying each other’s company. I’m also drawn to exploring nature, whether it’s hiking, walking, or just soaking in the outdoors.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I’m trilingual. Growing up between Europe and the U.S. exposed me to multiple languages and cultures. It’s something that shapes the way I see the world and helps me connect with people from all walks of life.
Who inspires you? – I’m inspired by many people, especially the leaders and mentors around me who influence me every day. Their dedication, resilience, and drive motivate me to keep pushing forward, no matter the circumstances.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – One of my favorite quotes is: “Be a better version of yourself tomorrow than you were today.” It motivates me to keep growing, staying present, and always striving to improve.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Compassionate
If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “Here Comes the Sun” – The Beatles
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – If I could choose any other profession, I think I’d love to work in national parks as a park ranger. Being outdoors, protecting nature, and helping people connect with the environment sounds like a truly rewarding way to make a difference while doing something I love.
