Tell us a little about your business. – We are an old fashioned meat market that was started in 1959 by Pat Costello. We carry local beef, pork, chicken and seafood products. We also smoke our own meats, sausages, and jerkies. To name a few…

How did you get started in the business? – My grandmother worked for Pat for over 50 years, my mother works here as well. I started working here at the age of 15 on the weekends.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – My biggest challenge has been trying to keep up with an ever changing world while trying to preserve the traditions and integrity of the old fashioned meat market

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Taking over Just Good Meat in 2010 changed everything about my life. It’s been tough but I’ve been able to experience and do a lot of things that most people don’t get to do.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When I moved back from Colorado in 2004 and started working full time at the meat store.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Play my guitar and create music.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I like to draw and write lyrics.

What are you the most proud of? – What I have accomplished in the short amount of time since taking over Just Good Meat.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Work hard and everything else works out.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)” by AC/DC.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – I would want to fly.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Music.

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – When I took over, I made a promise to Pat that I would donate to the St. Francis House and always help those less fortunate than myself. So since then, we have gotten involved with Empty Tomb Ministries, Heartland Ministries, and also Tri-City Food Pantry. We provide them with great quality food for families in need.

What is your favorite movie? – Scarface.
