River City Six – Sarah Young

Meet Sarah Young, executive assistant at Strictly Business (strictlybusinessomaha.com).

Tell us a little about your business.

Strictly Business is a monthly news and marketing publication that represents local businesses. We are experts in connecting faces, names, and personalities with businesses. We always go the extra mile to get our clients known in the community.

How did you get started in the business?

I am still relatively “green” at Strictly Business. I have been here for four months. I am a recent graduate from Nebraska Wesleyan University, with a degree in marketing and communication. I have always been interested in people’s stories, community, connectivity, and the promotion of such.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

As of now, graduating college and getting my first full-time job.

Tell us a little about your family.

I am an only child to my parents, Ron and Charlotte, who live in Fremont. My parents have a Border Collie/Sheltie mix named Sophie and she is the world.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I enjoy exploring new places, whether that is a small town in Nebraska or a different state. I love road trips. I’m a big thrift shopper and an even bigger coffee drinker.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

I have an Instagram for my dog, but I always lose her password.

Who inspires you?

Folks who overcome adversity in life. Whether it be health, financial, mental, etc. I am also really inspired by people’s life journeys—hearing where they come from and where they go gets me really excited.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Despite how overused these quotes are, they’re so great: “Everything happens for a reason,” and “Be yourself.”
