The daughter of Marty Barnhart, the owner of Steady Growth Enterprises, Sarah Hager joined the business when it started to expand and her dad needed her help with marketing.  Sarah was more than happy to start working for him and has enjoyed jumping back into the business world after being away for a few years.  Steady Growth Enterprises does the ABCs of operations: administration for micro-companies and business development for small businesses. This includes, but isn’t limited to, outbound calling and survey calling, along with website development. Lastly, they do operations consulting for businesses of any size. They don’t run your business , they help your business run better.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
My greatest challenge is the balancing act of raising a family, going to school full time, and working to provide for my girls all in the same day.

Tell us a little about your family.
I have two little girls, who are amazing. My oldest, Addison, is 4 years old, and my youngest, Elliana, is 7 months old. Everything I do, I do to provide the best possible life I can for them.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
After my second daughter, Elliana, was born, I decided to go back to school to finish my nursing degree. I’m enjoying working towards my goal, and showing my daughters that when you put your mind to something, you can accomplish anything.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Play with my daughters, and relax at home without worrying about going anywhere.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I’m ridiculously optimistic about all situations and scenarios in life. If you need someone to put a positive spin on a dire situation, I’m your girl!

What are you the most proud of?
I’m most proud of my daughters. They bring me such joy, and are growing into well adjusted, happy little girls.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
My grandpa told me, “Sarah, don’t wish your life away. Enjoy all the ups and downs as they come. Tomorrow will always be there, but you can never get yesterday back.”

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
I’m ready to check a completed nursing degree off my list!

If you could have a super power, what would it be?
I’ve always thought having the ability to fly would be really fun!

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
I love to cook, but can’t share taste and smells while I talk on the phone to potential clients, or communicate with local businesses.

Which talent would you most like to have?
I’d love to play the piano better!

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

What is your favorite movie?
It’s a toss-up between Little Women and Pride and Prejudice.

What is your favorite TV show?
