Meet Trenna Rager, Operations Manager and Bullion Trader at Lincoln Coin & Bullion, LLC. (lincolncoinandbullion.com).
Tell us a little about your business. – We are a full-scale Precious Metal Bullion Dealer that serves those purchasing and selling three to seven figures of Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium Bullion. We also deal in Historic Currency Collections (numismatic coins and bills), including providing quotes and paid appraisals. We do both bullion and currency collections; often if someone has one, they have the other.
How did you get started in the business? – Originally, I was hired as Lincoln Coin & Bullions bookkeeper. That was a year ago already!
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – One of my biggest professional challenges is my strong sense of loyalty. While it helps me build strong relationships and maintain commitment, it can also make it difficult for me to make necessary changes that need to happen for me and my family.
Tell us a little about your family. – My husband and I have been married for almost 10 years. We have three children who are nothing short of busy! We moved to Lincoln in 2020 and have been thriving ever since!
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? - One of the biggest is getting to marry my high school sweetheart (12 years late, but who’s counting…) He is the love of my life and I’ve known it since I was 17 years old.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – My favorite thing to do on a day off is work more, or literally do nothing. It is hard to take a day off and not do any work. In between not working, I do enjoy sand volleyball, golfing, watching my children play sports and hanging out with family and friends.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I love to sing (karaoke too!) and embarrass my kids in the car, on purpose.
Who inspires you? – Everyone. There is no human that isn’t interesting on their own and I think they all are inspirations on some level.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Work hard, play hard.” And recently, a new one, “every second matters.”
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Funny.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I am an artist, with a pencil and also with acrylic paint.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – A math teacher.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain.
What is your favorite movie? – Julie & Julia
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Jesus Christ
If our readers would like to contact you, how should they do so? – Readers can call or email me at (402) 327-2853 and trenna@lincolncoinandbullion.com.
