Meet Joe Sequenzia, National Account Executive at Aradius Group (aradiusgroup.com).

Tell us a little about your business. – We help communicate our customers’ marketing efforts through digital and print media using the electronic tools of today’s printing efforts. We make print relevant.

How did you get started in the business? – I started my career in the advertising business and went to work for a prepress house where I sold creative and photography. From there, I went to Omaha Printing managing their sales efforts and using my skills from the advertising, creative, as this seemed like this would close the loop with all facets of marketing efforts.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Keeping our customers up to date with what our industry. It is continuing to grow with digital variable marketing.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Helping customers grow their bottom line using the many years of knowledge from years of experience. If our customers are successful, so are we.

Tell us a little about your family. – I’ve been married for 40 years to my beautiful wife. I have two boys both married and two grandchildren. Family is important and we love to travel and enjoy family time. My oldest lives in Sacramento with our two grandchildren, and we visit when we can.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Work/life balance. For years I gave up a lot to grow in my career. It is different in today’s world where the younger generation has the work/balance more in line. I am learning that is most important.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Play golf, travel or drive to the mountains in my sports car.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – My license plate on my latest sports car is RAZZA which means Stingray in Italian.

Who inspires you? Those who are at the top of their game, whether they are in sports, business or music. I love to listen to or watch the best in their field.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – A fool and his money will soon be parted. Be smart in life.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Healing power; help those that need it.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Pro golfer, race car driver or NFL Quarterback. They all sound like fun to me.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? There are a couple of places that help boys and girls through tough times during those teenage years through young adult hood. They are the future, and we need to help those that need it to become responsible adults and contribute to society. I am on the board for the suburban Rotary and we do a lot of community service.
