Meet Jennifer Coco, the Executive Chef at The Linden House

How did you get started in the business? – At 15 years old restaurants were the only ones hiring. I became a restaurant person after that. I fell in love with it. The drama, the familiar faces, and the instant gratification of a job well done.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – COVID, being a woman, not being bilingual

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – I am a 4x James Beard nominee. The 1st woman and person from Nebraska nominated. I also ran my restaurant, J. Coco, for 10 years.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have two daughters and have been married for 25 years.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When J. Coco closed

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Sleep

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I have a crappy home kitchen.
