Meet Dean Glenn, CFO at ProTech.

Tell us a little about your business. – ProTech is a full upfit house for commercial vehicles. We look at a new work truck or van as a blank canvas, then, with our expertise and input from our customers, we build a vehicle that is suited perfectly for the job. Our goal is to help each customer be organized and efficient in the work they do.

How did you get started in the business? – I started assembling shelves and sweeping floors during the summer months of 2010 and 2011. Then I started fulltime after graduating high school in 2012. I have grown with the business and have been involved in nearly every part of it, most recently taking on the CFO role.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – It was during the Covid chaos, trying to keep a business growing that depends heavily on vehicles while vehicle manufactures had nearly stopped production.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have an amazing wife Kaylee and two fantastic boys, Zander (4) and Cooper (1).

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Getting married and having children helped change my perspective and see the bigger picture. It’s all about them and their future and to me, that has been my biggest motivating factor.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy taking my boys to the zoo and playing a round of golf with friends.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – It’s not that unique, but I really enjoy traveling. I have been to Australia, New Zealand, France and the United Kingdom, and there are many more on the list to visit.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – RRT (Rapid Relief Team). They are community outreach program that is connected with our Church. It’s a great way for us to show support to our local firefighters, law enforcement officers and those in need.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – Choose Your Enemies Wisely by Patrick Bet-David.

What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? – 801 Chop house for steaks or Shahi Indian Grill for Chicken Tiki Marsala and Garlic Naan.
