River City Six – Nicole Simpson

Meet Nicole Simpson, operations administrative assistant for Ambius.

Tell us a little about your business.

Ambius makes offices feel cozy. Our services include live and artificial plant displays for businesses, complete office plant services, ambient scenting, commercial holiday decorations, and green wall design, installation, and maintenance. Green walls are a growing trend, and they are able to be installed on almost any structure, both indoors and outdoors. They make a dramatic statement and create a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. We’ve also been providing indoor blooming plants to companies for years. We can create custom potted flower displays for tabletops, desks, filing cabinets, and other spaces around your office. Rooms come alive with colorful blooming plants and inspire a more productive atmosphere for selling, working, and creating. Another unique service Ambius offers is premium scenting for offices, which can help elevate the moods of employees and get rid of scents that are distracting and unpleasant. Around the holidays, we can deck out your business with out with classy holiday decorations. We’ve helped countless businesses draw in customers with cheerful holiday decorations of all sizes, colors, and themes.

How did you get started in the business?

It all started when I was almost done with my horticulture degree and was looking for a job in the field I loved. Ambius was one of the first companies I applied to. I got the job in 2015 as a plant technician and now, as of 2020, I am the operations administrative assistant for our Omaha Branch.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Switching from being out in the field around the clients I care about to being on the office side of things, while making sure our clients continue to have the same care I provided when I was out in the field.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

Being promoted to my current position within Ambius. The work I do is very rewarding.
