Tell us a little about your business. – At Hamilton Business Technologies (hamiltonisbusiness.com), we help clients reach their goals with innovative solutions, personal service and reliability. We listen to our clients and deliver results that benefit their businesses. Hamilton specializes in Managed IT services, Cybersecurity, Security & Access Controls, Business Phone Systems and Data Center services.
How did you get started in the business? – I was working in Minor League Baseball in 2017 when my brother asked me if I ever wanted to sell IT. I took him up on that offer, grabbed an interview and have not looked back since. Grateful that I have a brother as a smart guy!
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Moving back home to Omaha marked a major turning point for me. It has brought new opportunities, friendships and a sense of belonging that continues to shape my journey.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Weather permitting, I am going to the golf course!
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I was kicked out of kindergarten. Shoutout to Dr. Marchese for letting me back in for first grade though!
Who inspires you? – All the people in my corner inspire me to be better. Specifically, Angela and Baker challenge and inspire me to be a better partner, human, father, co-worker and friend, every day.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Be thankful when your two feet hit the ground for another day before you start.”
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Authentic.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? – Phil Collins – “In the Air Tonight”.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Teleportation! It would make balancing work, family and play so much easier—and I could visit loved ones in an instant.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I can solve the Rubik’s Cube.
Which talent would you most like to have? – Driving the golf ball 400 yards and straight.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Getting paid to stripe 330-yard drives and knock down 30-foot sliders on the nicest courses around the world sounds glorious. Professional golfer it is.
What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I supported the Hope Foundation and am starting to get involved with the American Cancer Society through a connection I made recently.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Kobe Bryant – His work ethic was elite. I would love to learn from his experiences and gather from that conversation so much about how to be successful and level-headed.
