When Leslee Joy was originally asked to meet with Communication Services, Inc., she did so out of a favor to a friend, since she wasn’t really looking to make a career change. After 3 meetings it was apparent that it would be a good fit to join forces. For 20+ years they have been dedicated to the highest quality products and services and offer thousands of customers not only Telephone Systems, but Cabling infrastructure for both voice and data, Surveillance,  Access Control, Managed IT, Indoor and Outdoor Wireless Networks.

Tell us about your family.
My husband and I are blessed to have four daughters all in the Omaha area. One benefit to starting our family young is having the energy to keep up with six wonderful grandchildren. Being a Nana rocks!

What is one of the biggest achievements you’ve accomplished?
Putting myself through College while working full time and raising 2 daughters.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
I like working in my yard and with my flowers…and of course keeping the grandkids overnight, too.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
Not sure how to answer that one as I am pretty much an open book. What you see is what you get…no hidden agenda…and NO drama!
What would you say you’re the most proud of? – Watching our daughters mature into adults and make good decisions and watching three of them being parents.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
The past is the past so don’t look back. Don’t worry about the things you can’t control.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
I don’t really have ONE goal…but I enjoy doing things for others and making a difference, and I keep that on my radar daily.

Who has been your biggest influence?
My dad, he really helped me develop my work ethic.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Make it a world where everyone gets along and recognizes it is ok to agree to disagree.

What are your plans for retirement?
Nothing grandiose, just be the best Wife, Mom, and Nana ever…..and maybe travel a little more.

What is the talent you would most like to have?
I used to sing in the choir through high school. I regret that I didn’t keep it up…I love music and wish I had talent to sing and perform on stage.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
Mostly I read business-related periodicals, but a book that a mentor gave me that makes great sense is Failing Forward by John C.
Maxwell. Some of the greatest success was made by failures along the way and he talks about turning your mistakes into stepping stones.

What is your favorite movie?
Top Gun is the first that comes to mind.

What is your favorite TV show?
I don’t watch much TV, but I find 20/20 and 48 Hour Mystery  usually very interesting.

What is your favorite restaurant?
Too many to mention, but Mexican and Italian are my favorites.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
Warren Buffett.  I like the fact that he is not too flashy and there is no drama.
