Tell us a little about your business.

Closet & Storage Concepts is a locally-owned premier provider of customized closet and storage solutions. Our designers come to your home or office to help you create the perfect design for your project. All of our residential and commercial products are manufactured in our Omaha factory to your specific needs. Our beautiful design center makes color, finish, and hardware selections easy and fun. We just love to have people stop by our showroom and see the nice selection of closets, pantries, drop zones, garages, bars, wall beds, pet centers, butler’s pantries, laundry rooms, kid’s closets, as well as, office break rooms, copy rooms, and furniture.

How did you get started in the business?

My wife Cindi and I wanted a business that would provide an opportunity for both of us to utilize our different skills and grow something together. The company was a perfect combination for our construction and design backgrounds.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Making sure we always have more money coming in than going out!

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

We took a formerly empty building, assembled a team of very talented people, and built a very cool showroom and manufacturing facility. We are having a great time watching the company grow!

Tell us a little about your family.

Cindi and I have five children, a son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter named Stella.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Golf, golf, golf.

Who inspires you?

My parents. My dad was honored with a Purple Heart and bronze star in WWll. He had a huge heart for his country, his family and an incredible work ethic. My mom has always been the rock of our family and has the amazing ability to know what everyone around her needs and provide it.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

To be invisible.

Which talent would you most like to have?

Singing.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

High school football coach.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Boys’ Crusade: The American Infantry in Northwestern Europe, 1944-1945 by Paul Fussell.

What is your favorite movie?

Rocky.

What is your favorite TV show?

Seinfeld.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

It’s a three-way tie between Mangia Italiana, Rivera’s, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?

Robin Williams.
