Tell us a little about your business. – We provide outsourced bookkeeping to small and medium sized businesses in addition to assisting business owners with processing payroll and payroll taxes for their employees. We also offer QuickBooks setup, consulting and training. As we are able to offer a full spectrum of accounting services, businesses can choose from various bookkeeping packages in order to find the best fit for their specific needs.

How did you get started in the business? – I have always worked in the accounting field. I have a degree in accounting and am a licensed CPA. I decided to start my own business after working in public accounting, and decided to focus my efforts on assisting other small businesses with their bookkeeping and payroll after noticing there was a need for these particular services. A lot of small business owners struggle with keeping up on the bookkeeping for their business due to lack of time.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Balancing my work life with my personal life. Sometimes I get so involved in work I tend to neglect my social life.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Deciding to start my own business. It was stressful but definitely worth it.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Spending time with family, taking long walks, shopping, or relaxing on the deck on nice days.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I love adventure. When traveling, I always have to do something adventurous like ziplining, kayaking, or snorkeling just to name a few.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Surround yourself with positive people. Stay away from negativity.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Dedicated.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – I would like to be able to fly so I could get around faster and avoid traffic.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I wish I could play the piano.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I like to cook and consider myself to be pretty good at it too. I just don’t get the opportunity often enough due to my busy work schedule.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Veterinarian. I grew up in the country and was around all types of animals (horses, chickens, dogs, cats, etc.). I love all animals.

What is your favorite movie? – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I look forward to watching it every year around Christmas.

What is your favorite TV show? – Currently my favorite TV show is Big Bang Theory. In the past I would have said Seinfeld.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – I like most Italian restaurants but my favorite is Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano.
