River City Six – Karissa Williams

Meet Karissa Williams, CEO and founder of the 365DailyHustle (www.365DailyHustle.com).

Tell us a little about your business.

I help busy women BossUp and achieve their health and life goals. Specifically, I help women build healthy habits so that they can lose weight, tone up, increase their energy, stress less, and build up their confidence without crazy diets, insane workouts, and medication cocktails. My mission is to inspire, motivate, and empower women to BossUp and live their healthiest lives. I provide clients with the right support, accountability, and fresh perspectives to make lifelong habit changes when it comes to achieving my client’s goals and dreams.

How did you get started in the business?

Driven by my love and passion for helping women create healthier more balanced lives, 365DailyHustle was founded in June 2018. As a certified life, health, and mindset coach, I provide personalized coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements to help women BossUp™ and THRIVE! Conquering many of the personal challenges my clients face through my own past experiences gives me a unique perspective on how to help these women overcome various roadblocks and live life to the fullest.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

There was a time when I was embarrassed and ashamed of my body. Not only was I at war with myself but this negative way of living was starting to affect the other relationships in my life. I have been repairing my relationship with my old self for over 10 years. I still struggle from time to time but now, instead of coping with food, booze, cigarettes, work, and negative self talk, I lean into love, support, nourishment, and abundance.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

Being a part of a collaborative force of women who all decided to “BossUp” during COVID and write a book together. Our book is called Women Who BossUp.

Tell us a little about your family.

I’m newly engaged with two awesome kids and three fur babies. I grew up in Bellevue, NE.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

The decision to leave my corporate career behind to pursue my passion and purpose as a health coach and inspirational speaker.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I am a self-care and personal development junkie. I incorporate fun things in my life every day, which has been a key to my success. I travel, read, mediate, workout, connect with nature, play boardgames, listen to podcasts, hangout with loved ones, and support and get involved within my community.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

Ten years ago, I weighed over 210 pounds and smoked two packs of cigarettes a day.

Who inspires you?

My clients, future husband, and daughter Sara!

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

My strength does not come from lifting weights; it comes from getting back up after every setback.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

Locally, FitGirl Inc. because I love helping, mentoring, and motivating future boss babes. On a national level, Join the Journey empowers female entrepreneurs in the developing world through small loans and mentorship. They have a cadre of Spark Coaches—U.S. female business owners like me—who directly pour into the process.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?

Mel Robbins’ 5-Second Rule. I use her 5-Second strategy on a weekly basic.
