Tell us a little about your business. – Nu-Trend is a dry cleaning business with local storefronts and Stiletto’s is a dry cleaning delivery service. Together, we offer a comprehensive suite of services to care for your wardrobe and bedding. In addition to the newest Nu-Trend location at 15555 Q Street, we have five other locations in Omaha and some even offer a drive-thru option.
How did you get started in the business? – I purchased the business in March of 2014.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Growing a small business in the current business environment.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Purchasing Nu-Trend Dry Cleaners and Stiletto’s Dry Cleaning delivery service has been a great achievement. It was unfamiliar territory and each day presents new challenges. It is very gratifying to see the success of individuals and the team throughout each obstacle.
Tell us a little about your family. – Teresa and I were married in 2009 and welcomed our son, Nash in 2012. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of another boy in April.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Starting a family was definitely a turning point for me.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy boating, motorcycles and golf.
What are you the most proud of? – I am the most proud of my family.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Genuine.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I would like to be a boat captain.
What is your favorite movie? – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
What is your favorite local restaurant? – I have three: La Casa Pizzeria, Bella Vita Ristorante and Boyd & Charlie’s BBQ.
