Tell us a little about your business. – We are a Managed Service Provider based in Omaha. For over 30 years we have worked to support the IT needs of small and medium businesses.

How did you get started in the business? – I started with Integrated (IMSP.net) in 2003 after working 5 years on an enterprise IT help desk. I appreciated the chance to work with smaller companies and build long lasting relationships.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – The trust and relationships I have built with our customers in the past 23 years.

Tell us a little about your family. – My wife and I have been together for over 26 years. We have one son who will start kindergarten this fall.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Being laid off from a previous job. It was unexpected, but it pushed me to reassess my goals and look for new opportunities. That led me to Integrated MSP, where I’ve been able to grow my skills, take on new challenges, and be part of a strong team.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy spending time outdoors. Fishing, hiking, camping, and taking my son to the different parks around town.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I have a love for all things aviation. I almost attained my private pilots license, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for at the time. Instead I learned how to fly powered paragliders as that’s closer to my childhood dream of jumping off retaining walls with bed sheets.

Who inspires you? – My coworkers inspire me. As a team, we’ve faced and solved many challenges over the years while providing the best possible service. Seeing how everyone steps up, supports each other, and stays focused on solutions motivates me to bring that same level of effort and accountability.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – My favorite quote is from Leonardo Da Vinci, “Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – If I could choose another profession, I would be a meteorologist. I like how data and patterns are used to predict and respond to changing conditions. Very similar to what I do in IT—identifying issues early and adapting as new information comes in.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – Harry Potter series and look forward to sharing them with my son.

What is your favorite movie? – Probably the original Ghostbusters.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Comedian Bert Kreischer. I feel the whole evening would turn into an interesting story.

If our readers would like to contact you, how should they do so? – I can be reached via email at Joe.Scheve@imsp.net or by phone at (402) 509-9597.
