Web Happy is a web design agency that focuses on helping small businesses make a big impact without the high costs.  Jenny Kimber is the CEO and Designer for Web Happy.

How did you get started in the business? – With a longtime love of computers and the Internet, I self-taught my way through programming and web design.  After needing help on a project a few years back, I realized the need for good designers with quick turn around and fair prices.  That is where Web Happy was born.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Starting my own business!  It’s a challenge and a blessing.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – My biggest challenge in starting my own business has also been my most important achievement.  I receive great pleasure in helping other small businesses grow.

Tell me a little about your family. – My husband and I have been married for 15 years and are now happily running our business together.  He is the business mind and I, the creative one.  We have five children in total, with our youngest still being at home and active in softball.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When I married my husband.  All kidding aside, that was a true turning point as all things changed from that point on.  I always knew what I wanted to be, but never knew how to get there.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? –  I don’t take many days off, but I suppose I would enjoy relaxing outside with a good book or maybe taking a hike.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I’m great at Polka Dancing!  Who doesn’t love a good Polka? ;-)

What are you the most proud of? – My daughter.  All day, every day.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – A quote from Abraham Lincoln: “Whatever you are, be a good one.” I have this on a plaque in my office.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Compassionate.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – Walking on Sunshine.

If you had a super power, what would it be? – Time travel.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Baking.

Which talent would you most like to have? – Being a good athlete.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Coffee shop owner.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero.  The best motivational book I’ve read yet!

What is your favorite movie? – There are so many!  I’d have to say It’s a Wonderful Life.

What is your favorite TV show? – Downton Abbey.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Since I just moved back, I haven’t been able to visit all of the new restaurants yet. I will say that Julio’s still makes a killer chicken enchilada though!

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – The Queen of England.  My grandmother once danced the Highland Fling in front of her majesty when she was 16.  I would love to meet her.
