Meet Jeff Sneller, director of business development at Aqua Systems (www.ilovemywater.com).

Tell us a little about your business.

Aqua Systems is a family-owned, full-service water treatment company that has been in business for over 25 years. We treat municipal water and well water for residential and commercial applications, from water softening to reverse osmosis and commercial bottleless drinking systems. How did you get started in the business?

I was looking for a change in career and this was a great opportunity to work for an exceptional company.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Learning to be patient and get along with individuals who are very indecisive.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

When I taught myself how to maintain a positive demeanor while working with varying personalities. It’s better to smile and move on from conflict.

Tell us a little about your family.

My wife Deb and I have five children and four grandchildren. We’re thankful that most of them reside in Lincoln, so it’s easy to spend time with them.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

The birth of my daughters.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I love spending time at our farm—fishing, hunting, and bird watching. I also enjoy quiet time while getting some yard work done.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

I’m a problem solver.

Who inspires you?

Jesus Christ and my parents.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

My grandfather and my dad both taught me to do the job right the first time so you don’t have to come back and do it again. I’ve relied on this my whole life and it has served me well.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Unpredictable.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

I’m happy with my lot in life at this point, I don’t spend time considering the “what ifs” in life.

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

I’m active in the Lincoln Elks Lodge #80. I support the activities they put on to help Veterans and our community’s youth. I’m also involved in various activities at church.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?

I enjoy Jack Reacher novels.

What is your favorite TV show?

Wheel of Fortune.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

Brother Sebastian’s.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?

Ronald Reagan.
