Tell us a little about your business. – I work at New Start Cleaning (newstartcleaningllc.com), where I am the General Manager. I really love my job because I get to work with so many different women of different nationalities and backgrounds and help them. It means a lot to me to be able to support people and be part of their journey. We provide residential, commercial, apartment turnover, and post-construction cleaning services. We focus on creating opportunities, especially for Latina women, helping them grow, become financially independent, and believe in themselves. We believe every “new start” matters.

How did you get started in the business? – I started working at New Start Cleaning as a cleaner 5 years ago. From there, I became a supervisor and slowly worked my way up. I kept working hard and taking on more responsibilities, and eventually I became the General Manager. It was a long process, but I am proud of how far I have come.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – One of my biggest challenges was working my way up and proving that I was capable of taking on more responsibility. I had to work hard and learn a lot along the way. There were definitely difficult moments, but I kept going and didn’t give up.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Becoming General Manager is probably my biggest achievement. I started as a cleaner, so being able to work my way up to where I am now makes me very proud. I also really enjoy being able to work with other women and help them.

Tell us a little about your family. – I am married and have two children. I have a 10-year- old son Ivan and a 17-year-old daughter, Aylin. They are the light of my life. My family’s support means a lot to me. I love being able to have my career while also being a mom and a wife. I want to show my kids that with hard work and determination, you can accomplish your goals.

What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? – My favorite local Omaha restaurant is La Isla Del Mar 2. I love seafood, so that restaurant is always my number one choice!

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – My favorite thing to do on my day off is relaxing at home with my family. I love going shopping with my daughter and getting my nails done too!
