Premier Dental is a family-oriented practice committed to inspiring lifelong dental health by providing caring and attentive customer service. One of Dr. Piper Larson’s favorite aspects of the dental profession, besides the privilege to transform someone’s smile, is helping a child who is scared of the dentist finally embrace and have fun at our office. For Dr. Larson, dentistry means taking care of people and she wants to enhance people’s lives by healing their mouths and making them healthy.

Tell me a little about your business. – We tailor our care to the individual needs of our patients through advanced technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and our tradition of excellence and customer service. Your family’s smiles are unlike anyone else’s, and your visits to the dentist should be customized to manage the health and aesthetics of your unique teeth. The treatments we provide reflect this philosophy and include all aspects of general and restorative dentistry, periodontal care, pediatric dentistry, endodontic care, oral surgery, teeth whitening, implants, veneers, sedation dentistry, and much more.

How did you get started in the business? – I decided to go into dentistry because it is a great way to help others be healthy.  It is my goal to give every guest at our practice a pleasant experience. When I was a child I had a dentist that literally looked like a witch….long black hair with gray streaks. I was scared to death of her! I want to make sure children do not have that perception of a dentist. I want them to think of the dentist as someone who cares deeply about their health and doesn’t look or act scary! Preventing dental anxiety is of utmost importance to me.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – It is always difficult to inform parents that their child has a cavity. While cavities are the most common childhood chronic illness, parents are often surprised that their child has dental disease.

Tell us a little about your family. – My husband Josh and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this summer. We have three children, who we are very proud of! They are Westyn (8), Coltyn (6), and Noelle (4).

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I spend a lot of time enjoying my children’s activities, but there is nothing quite as refreshing as a run around Lake Zorinsky.

What are you the most proud of? – My family, of course. I am also proud that I did well in dental school while having my three children.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – My son’s second grade teacher, Mrs. Navin, lives by this: “Work as if it was your first day. Forgive as soon as possible.  Love without boundaries.  Laugh without control, and never stop smiling.”  Well said, Mrs. Navin!

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Edifying. I would like to be known as someone who builds others up.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I would like to be able to sing. My kids always ask me to stop.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I just finished Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy by Helen Fielding. I love the whole series.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – I really like Firebirds.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Abraham Lincoln. He was able to stand up for what he knew was right, even when it was not popular.
