Tell us a little about your business. – At OsteoStrong (osteostrong.me), we are about helping people take a proactive approach to their bone health. OsteoStrong is a scientifically designed system that helps stimulate the body’s natural ability to strengthen bones, muscles, and joints through brief, guided sessions. Our goal is to provide a safe and effective way for people to improve their skeletal strength and maintain an active, independent lifestyle.
How did you get started in the business? – About four years ago, I had an acquaintance who drove nearly five hours round trip every week just to participate in an OsteoStrong session. Seeing that level of commitment made me curious, and I witnessed firsthand how much it was improving her quality of life. As I learned more about the impact it was having, I truly felt God placed this opportunity in front of me so that others here could experience the same benefits.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Starting over at age 53 on an entirely new career path. Launching a business that almost no one in Omaha had even heard of at the time was scary. But believing in the impact OsteoStrong could have on people’s lives made it a risk worth taking.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Through this work, we’ve had the privilege of watching our members improve their bone density, strength, and balance week after week. What started as a business has truly become a family. Our members share a common commitment to their health, and many have built lasting friendships through the community that naturally forms when people gather each week with the same goal of getting stronger and living better.
Tell us a little about your family. – I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart (Jennifer) for 34 years. We have four amazing children (one son, three daughters ranging from 30 to 22) and two beautiful grand daughters (6 months and 7 months).
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – My life’s turning point didn’t come from a single moment, but from experiences that reshaped how I see what truly matters. Becoming a parent (and now a grandparent) gave me a deeper appreciation for time, health, and the legacy we leave for the people we love.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Spending time with family and friends. Never hurts if that involves golf or fishing!!
Who inspires you? – In no particular order: my wife, children and their spouses, my parents and siblings and God.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the apples in a seed.” – Robert H. Schuller. Best piece of advice: Simply choose to do the right thing all the time. At the end of the day, you can lay your head down and know you have no regrets.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Grounded.
