Clete Blakeman started his law career in Omaha, then decided to break away and start his own firm, Blakeman Law PC, in 2004. At Blakeman Law, they specialize in personal injury and wrongful death cases in Nebraska and Iowa. Their clients range from young children to elderly adults. They also represent the families of loved ones who have lost their lives because others have been negligent. Their area of expertise includes Motor Vehicle Collisions, Fire/Electrical Burn Injuries, Head/Brain Injuries, Slip and Falls, and Defective Products.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
Battling the public bias against personal injury lawsuits and the perception that they are all frivolous claims. It simply is inaccurate.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
Being the beneficiary of the gratitude from my injured clients. This gives me the most satisfaction.
Tell us a little about your family.
Katie and I have been married for nearly two years. We have truly the best little 1 year old girl ever…. Maeve.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
The day Katie came into my life.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Laying back to read the morning paper and just relaxing….. I do enjoy a round of golf too!!!
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
The levels of commitment and passion that it has taken to successfully balance my law career and my NFL officiating career.
What are you the most proud of?
The level of peace and love in my personal life.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Don’t worry about the last play. Focus on the next one.” – Coach Osborne. It applies to life in general.
What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
Referee the Superbowl.
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Fly like Superman…. Think of the time it would save!!!

Not planning to retire.
