Meet Chris Reding, a business partner of Innovative Sani Solutions in Omaha.
Tell us a little about your business. – Innovative Sani Solutions (innovativesanisolutions.com) cleans/sanitizes trash cans/bins with high heat and high pressure. We are economically friendly. The trucks spray water at 210 degrees at 3,000 psi to sanitize and deodorize trash can while getting them looking and smelling clean. We also do pressure washer services and driveway sealings. We work with residential homes, small businesses, homeowners associations, and property management companies. Innovative Sani Solutions serves the Greater Omaha Area, including Elkhorn, Bennington, Gretna, Papillion, Bellevue, and Council Bluffs. How did you get started in the business? – A couple of us were standing around a dirty, stinky trashcan and thought, what a great idea it would be if we started to clean trash cans. No one wants to do it, so we’ll do it for them.
Tell us a little about your family. – I’m married with two children. My wife Beverly is a nurse at CHI Bergan. My oldest son Ace just turned two and loves cars and ATVs. My youngest son is seven months old and loves to laugh and race around in his walker. My wife and I have been together for 12 years and married for four.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I like to relax and hang out with the family. I also enjoy going to do adventurous stuff and anything outdoors. I also like to play golf. Golfing on nice day with a group of buddies is relaxing and a great time.
Who inspires you? – My dad is my biggest inspiration. He is always there for me and gives me encouragement to make things happen. He is always helping others and making sure they have what they need. He is the most unselfish person I know.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world, those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid you will succeed.” This is a great quote and gives me motivation to keep going and prove to myself that I can do it. I don’t need to prove to others that I can make it, just myself.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Integrity. I believe most things in life come with integrity. This plays a huge part in everyday life, you have to be honest with yourself and honest with others. If you do not have integrity your word means nothing.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I would like to be a firefighter. My dad is a firefighter, so I grew up around the fire station and learning different things. I would love to help people in need and make a difference in the world. Firemen are heroes in my book, putting your life on the line to save others.
What is your favorite movie? – Any of the Iron Man movies. The best Iron Man movie is the first one. Iron Man is my favorite marvel character.
What is your favorite local restaurant? – J. Coco. Their roasted duck is phenomenal. Service is quick and friendly as well.
