How did you get started in the business? – In 2008 after 22 1/2 years on the police department, my business partner and I started talking more about taking our security and training expertise to schools and the corporate world. In 2010 we did research and designed procedures to deploy metal detectors at high school sporting events to deter potential violence. We were approved and started screening high school students at basketball games using our potable walk through metal detectors. It was a big success and we became the first company in the state to do that level of security.
