Bargain Mart Tools is a locally owned retail tool store. They carry anything from normal every day hand tools to air and electric supplies, generators, tool boxes, painting supplies, and so much more. Bargain Mart offers their signature lower pricing and excellent service in order to meet the needs of their customers. Brent Hassler is the owner of Bargain Mart Tools.
How did you get started in the business? – Growing up I enjoyed going on the road and selling tools with my parents, and later my grandfather opened our retail store which I was managing. The opportunity arose for me to buy the company from him, and the rest is history.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – The biggest challenge I have faced has been the struggles of relocating an established business to a new area. We were formerly located at the Nebraska Crossing Mall in Gretna until December 2012, and since they are redeveloping that area we had to shut down until we could find a suitable location to re-open and re-establish our customer base.
Tell me a little about your family. – I have three wonderful children Devon, Jasmine and Brayden. I also have three siblings with two nephews, two nieces and one on the way. My mother and grandfather have been a huge part of helping me start and build a great family business.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Re-establishing my business in a new location! Although it has been quite a challenge, it has been a good one and I am looking forward to seeing many new faces as well as the previous ones that I enjoyed see come through the doors to shop.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my children play sports or taking them fishing. A nice motorcycle ride is always a treat as well!
What are you the most proud of? – My wonderful children, as well as the support that my family has showed me in everything I have done.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – You can accomplish anything that you set your mind to.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Since moving into our new location I have really enjoyed Mings.
