River City Six – Audrey Pecha
Meet Audrey Pecha, the client care coordinator at CCA Home Care (www.ccahomecare.com).
Tell us a little about your business. –
CCA Home Care provides in-home care to seniors in need. If you or a family member is needing some extra help or care and prefer to stay in your own home, we can help you achieve that. We help you maintain your independence and dignity while providing extra support to keep you safe and healthy.
How did you get started in the business? –
I worked with adults who are mentally disabled for 10 years and decided I wanted a change after the craziness of the pandemic. I love helping and caring for people, so I knew I needed to find something that allowed me to do that. I found CCA and thought it was the perfect fit, so I gave it a shot. So far, I have loved every moment of it.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? –
Learning a new business, taking constructive criticism, molding my role within the company, and succeeding at what I do.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? –
When I decided to leave my job of 10 years and throw myself into something completely new and unknown. It was a huge struggle mentally when deciding to go for it. Changing a major part of my identity—my career—could have backfired, but I was willing to take that leap to better myself and my life.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? –
I love to spend time outside when the weather is nice. During the summer, that would mean spending the day at the lake or taking a weekend camping trip.
Who inspires you? –
Everyone in my life who believes in me inspires me to be the best version of myself every day.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? –
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? –
Devoted.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? –
To be able to fly, even though I am terrified of heights. I could save money on gas and get to where I am needed a lot quicker.
Which talent would you most like to have? –
I have always wished I could sing well.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? –
Real estate would be a lot of fun. HGTV was one of my favorite channels to watch. I love being able to see a home and the potential it has.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? –
I love mystery and suspenseful books. I just recently finished Final Girls by Riley Sager.
What is your favorite movie? –
Saving Private Ryan. I also love comedy movies—anything with Will Farrell.
What is your favorite TV show? –
The Office. I have watched every episode at least twice, and I could watch it every day and not get tired of it.
What is your favorite local restaurant? –
Roma Italian Restaurant in Bellevue.
