Tell us a little about your family. – My wife, Erin, and I have been together for nearly 10 years and married for seven. We are proud parents of two awesome kids, Mack (4) and Macy (2). I was born and raised in Omaha, graduating from Creighton Prep before earning my undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and my graduate degree from Creighton University. Erin was born in Alaska and grew up all over the world thanks to her family’s time in the Air Force. We are active members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoy traveling to Illinois to visit Erin’s family where we love to go to Chicago Cubs games. We are also big fans of Creighton basketball – go Jays!

Who inspires you? – Greg McDermott inspires me because of the way he develops people, not just successful basketball teams. I’ve enjoyed watching his approach to teaching and coaching. What stands out to me is how he combines high performance and accountability with a genuine focus on building strong relationships. In addition to being a great basketball coach, he does so much good in the community and has built an extensive network in the Midwest. His leadership style is one I try to emulate in my own career by prioritizing relationships while still driving results.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – I have two favorite quotes that guide me on how I approach life and work. “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not a single act, but a habit.” – Aristotle. “Today I will do what others won’t so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can’t.” – Jerry Rice. These quotes remind me that success is built through consistent daily habits, intentional effort and a commitment to doing the right things over time.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Intentional. I believe that most things in life and work can be improved when approached with the right intentions. Being intentional means not simply reacting to circumstances but making informed decisions that align with your values and goals. It means being present, putting genuine effort into what matters, and continuously looking for ways to improve. I believe that when your intentions are right, success becomes a byproduct of consistently making good choices over time.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I would love to be able to play the guitar and other musical instruments. I’ve always admired how music brings people together and provides a creative outlet from the demands of everyday life.

What is your favorite TV show? – The Office. I’ve probably watched the series more times than I should admit, but it’s my favorite. While most people are drawn in by the humor, the show resonates with me because of its underlying message about teamwork, relationships and culture. Despite their differences and plenty of dysfunction along the way, the strongest moments of the series came when the team rallied around a common goal and supported each other. People do their best work when they feel connected, valued, and comfortable being themselves.

What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? – If we’re ever grabbing lunch, there’s a good chance I’m suggesting Anthem downtown or Mula in Blackstone. Both are regular favorites of mine, and both happen to serve what I think are the best birria tacos in Omaha.
