River City Six – Aaron Kaisershot
Meet Aaron Kaisershot, account executive at Presto-X Pest Control (www.prestox.com).
Tell us a little about your business.
We are an Omaha-based company serving large and small commercial businesses, along with residential customers. We offer several lines of service: pest control, drain line, vegetation management, bird control, and more!
How did you get started in the business?
I was in a small church group that met weekly. While discussing some stressful times at my previous job, the operations manager of Presto-X asked me, “Have you ever thought about getting into Pest Control?” At first, I laughed and said no. Three years later…I am loving it!
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
This industry is very interesting and offers something different every day! The challenges have actually been very enjoyable to learn from.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
Although I thoroughly enjoyed running the Council Bluffs route for Presto-X, my promotion to account executive has been very rewarding. With the knowledge I gained from running a route, I was able to hit the ground running in this position.
Tell us a little about your family.
My wife and I have been together since junior year of high school! We have a daughter who is 16 years old and a son who is 11. We keep busy with riding our motorcycle, soccer, flag football, and too many social plans.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
This career. I never planned on getting into pest control…who would? Yet, I’ve never enjoyed a job as much as I do this one. There is the gratification of improving people’s lives with what we do. I’ve never experienced or knew I needed that in a career!
Who inspires you?
Positive people.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.” – Philippians 2:3

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?
I’ve found it! I never would have chosen this profession, that’s for sure!
