Michelle Moyes-Dill, Executive Director of Together Inc, Omaha’s leading Homeless Prevention Agency, announced that the non-profit organization will be supplying as many children as possible with new shoes for the first day of school.
“Through community donations last year we were able to give brand new shoes to 500 children” stated Moyes-Dill. “While each child and family was extremely grateful we felt that there were so many more families whose children went to school last year with tattered and worn out shoes. Our goal this year is to be sure that each child who has a need will be able to proudly attend school and not be ashamed or embarrassed about their footwear. Each $10.00 donation will insure that this year’s program success will reflect Omaha’s dedication to our youth.”
Together Inc. was formed 36 years ago and today is one Omaha’s largest providers of food, clothing, rent and utility payment assistance and many other services. Over 57,000 services were provided last year with Hope, Dignity and Compassion.
