Southpaw Veterinary Clinic to Open Soon Under Dr. Kati Lackovic and Dr. Trent Shrader

Dr. Kati Lackovic and Dr. Trent Shrader are proud to announce the opening of Southpaw Veterinary Clinic (southpawomaha.com). Under their leadership, the clinic will specialize in preventive care and medicine for small animals, avians, exotics, and non-traditional pets. Southpaw Veterinary Clinic will be located at 192nd and Q St.

Kati was born and raised in Omaha. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at Iowa State University in Ames, IA in 2010. Kati then became a part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln/Iowa State University Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine, completing her first two years of study at UNL and the last two years at ISU – ultimately completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from ISU in 2014.

Trenton attended Kansas State University for both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees, graduating in 2015. He then completed post-doctoral training programs in zoo, exotic, and wildlife medicine, first for one year at the University of Saskatchewan and then an additional year at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. He continues to practice zoological medicine as the medical director at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
