The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce held its 2011 Annual Awards Banquet at the Embassy Suites – La Vista on the evening of Thursday, October 6th. Over 370 members and guests were in attendance at this year’s annual dinner. The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce also recognized the current board of directors and introduced the new board.
Ambassador of the Year: Dan Zongker, Zongkers Custom Furniture & Cabinetry; New or Emerging Business of the Year: Eileen’s Colossal Cookies – Papillion; Business/Education Excellence Award: Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo; Non-Profit of the Year: Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation; Volunteer of the Year: Lori Fischer, Benefit Professionals; Business Leader of the Year: Gail DeBoer, SAC Federal Credit Union; Small Business of the Year (1-25 Employees): Logo Logix Embroidery & Screen printing; Small Business of the Year (26-50 Employees): Black Hills Energy Corporation; Business of the Year: The Weitz Company; Elected Official of the Year: Mayor Sally McGuire, and Lee Polikov, Sarpy County Attorney.
