The 16th annual Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands will connect approximately 300 nonprofit executives, employees, board members, and volunteers from Nebraska and Iowa. The conference theme is Moments to Movements. This conference will explore how nonprofit leaders can take moments of individual and collective energy and momentum and turn them into long-lasting movements. Some of the topics that will be explored include navigating social change, giving trends, staffing strategies, agile approaches to strategic planning, leadership in a data-driven culture, creating equitable partnerships, and more.
A keynote presentation will be delivered by Sean Thomas-Breitfeld and Frances Kunreuther of the Building Movement Project. They will share their updated report, Trading Glass Ceilings for Glass Cliffs, which focuses on the experiences and challenges of nonprofit leaders of color who have attained the top positions in their organizations.
