Vascular Access Plus is proud to announce they have promoted Shanna Shafer to Chief Operating Officer.  Shanna Shafer RN, BSN has been employed with Vascular Access Plus since its inception in January of 2009.  Shafer received her BSN from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and was one of ten applicants selected for the MSN in Healthcare Quality program at George Washington University.  She has past experience as an RN in Acute Burn Care at the St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center Burn Unit, and also worked as Lead Nurse at the One World Community Health Center in Omaha.  Shafer brings an innovative approach, professionalism and her research-based healthcare and quality control background to the COO position which will allow VA+ to go above and beyond, and will fuel company growth within the ever-changing landscape of healthcare delivery.

Vascular Access Plus employs Vascular Access Specialists to perform ultrasound-guided PICC insertions with ECG technology, ultrasound guided mid-line placements and difficult peripheral IV access.  VA+ services acute care, long-term care, infusion clinics, and critical care access hospitals and provides vascular access support year-round including holidays.
