Cornhusker Bank (Cornhusker.Bank) proudly welcomes Rebecca Deterding, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Omaha, to its Omaha Advisory Board. She brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and community impact, deepening the bank’s commitment to service and growth.
Shattering glass ceilings, as former Cornhusker Bank president Alice Dittman once did, Rebecca became the first women president in the 155-year history of the YMCA of Greater Omaha in 2022.
She has spearheaded innovative programs that empower youth, families, adults and seniors in the Omaha community. Under her leadership, the YMCA has grown to 13 branch locations, four early learning centers and four after-school sites, impacting thousands of lives through a broad network of partnerships and outreach.
Her Nebraska roots and dedication to community development mirror Cornhusker Bank’s values. Armed with a degree in business administration, an MBA and a CPA certificate, she’s able to lend strategic financial expertise and operational insight.
A respected leader, she’s a member of YPO, Omaha Network Association, Women of TEN, and serves on the board of the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation. She holds the role of Vice Chair on the YMCA Heartland Alliance Board and serves on the Executive Committee of YMCA Champions for Child Protection.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys time with her husband of 20 years, Will, and their two sons, Harrison, 11, and Jude, eight, where they can often be found outdoors or enjoying movies and games.
Cornhusker Bank remains locally owned, built on trust, integrity and a commitment to the community through the service of local leadership. For more information visit Cornhusker.Bank.
