Toastmasters District 24 Elects New Leaders
This Spring, Toastmasters District 24 voted on the elected leadership team for the upcoming Toastmasters year running July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022. The elected leaders are as follows: Cindy Jenkins, district director; Keith Jones, program quality director; Pamela Hughes, club growth director; and Melinda Johnson, Louis Lester, Amy Hense, and Amelia Bowen as division directors (not pictured).
Cindy will oversee operations of Toastmasters and support clubs, members, and other leaders across the entire District. Keith and his team will manage the leadership and educational program, including speech contests, and provide training to Toastmasters members. Pamela and her team will work to build clubs by working with corporations looking to enhance their training programs and individuals within communities wanting to improve their communication and leadership skills. The division directors will provide support to a subset of clubs and other leaders within the District.
Each year, the incoming District Director chooses a theme for the year ahead. Cindy’s theme for the 2021- 2022 Toastmasters year is “District 24: Alive and Strong!” In the words of Cindy, “This theme embodies the essence of District 24. The world changed for all of us last year and District 24 stood up to the challenge. We have all had to learn, grow, and thrive in the virtual world we now live in.”
Toastmasters District 24 congratulates these newly-elected district officers on their new leadership positions and thanks Immediate Past District Director
