The Set Me Free Project Welcomes New Operations Director Gina Barrett
The Set Me Free Project (www.setmefreeproject.net) is happy to announce that they have gained a new full-time operations director, Gina Barrett!
Born and raised in Omaha, Gina completed her associate degree in photography in 2011. She has spent countless hours documenting the outdoors and sharing her passion for conservation and nature through her photographs. In 2012, she began working in internet fraud and compliance at PayPal where she was able to investigate and unlock the intricacies of the financial side of human trafficking and other illegal activities.
Gina completed her bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2016. Gina began volunteering for The Set Me Free Project in 2018 as a photographer and then transitioned into a part-time position. She is excited to now be fully invested in the organization’s mission and efforts as the operations director.
The 2018-19 school year, which marked year five for The Set Me Free Project, proved to be a promising year for the organization. They had a great turnout at their Comedy for Change fundraiser on March 7, and they’ve already booked Comedian Jeff Allen for next year’s event! In addition, The Set Me Free Project awarded the first recipient of the Sydney Loofe Memorial Scholarship to the amazing Abigail, and they had great success during Omaha Gives!
The team at The Set Me Free Project is so appreciative of the support they constantly receive from the Lincoln and Omaha communities. To learn more, contact Stephanie Olson at (402) 521-3080 / info@setmefreeproject.net or go online to www.setmefreeproject.net.
